Baptism or Thanksgiving Service - what’s the difference?
Here at St John’s we offer both baptisms and thanksgivings - but they’re not entirely the same!
Baptisms: Baptism is a service that contains some serious spiritual declarations and wholehearted promises that are accompanied by the traditional water symbol and prayer. The declarations indicate that you are, or wish to be, a real follower of Jesus. It is accompanied by a gift and a certificate.
Thanksgivings: The thanksgiving (or dedication) service is for people who want to bring their child before God and others but realise they can't at this point make the same declarations of promises. It contains other promises and is accompanied by prayer, a gift and a certificate.
Our Process

4. Finally, you will make a decision/booking.
