General Offertory
St Johns Maroubra Anglican Church depends on the generosity of the church family. We are almost entirely dependant on our member’s gifts to the work of God here. By these gifts we pay those in ministry, maintain buildings and provide funds for ministry activities. We are so grateful for gospel-generous member. (NB: not tax-deductible).
Education Centre Building Fund
The Tax-Deductible St John’s Maroubra Education Centre Building Fund achieved a great aim in purchasing housing for our Director of Youth and Children’s Ministry in 2020. The property is affectionately known as Sunman Cottage, named after John Sunman who left a significant bequest to St John’s. The Fund also assisted us to renovate bathrooms in our School Hall to provide accessible toilet facilities for church and community needs in 2022. We use the Fund to cover ongoing costs and maintenance of school facilities including Sunman Cottage and some parts of the School Hall. A significantly large gift to St John’s would allow us to open new chapters of ministry in our area.
Hope Fund
The St John’s Maroubra Hope Fund is a Tax-Deductible Necessitous Circumstances Fund established and maintained to provide relief for individuals who are in necessitous circumstances. It cares for the poor and helps people develop self-sufficiency as we give hope in hard times.
