Last Sunday we prayed some laments. It was really lit up by a song Dan Maiu wrote last year. The song is called ‘Weary Bones’. I thank God for the creative folks he has given our church family - and when they sing, move or draw, I listen in.
If you missed it - I want to call it to your attention. Sue Bazzana told me she assumed it was a Paul Kelly song. Big wraps. I get her assumption. It’s a great song.
It reminds us of the beautiful healing available in regenerating bush after fires. Of the restoration of a beautiful ocean even in the presence of it’s washed-away beaches. Climate change on one hand, and real rest on the other. That’s life, hey? And it signals our need for a rest that can only be given, in the end, miraculously and eternally by a healing Lord who will make righteousness flow like a river. And it will lap at all our feet.
Listen in. You’ll find the song here at the 56:45 minute mark. Enjoy.
