Come be led in an exploration of the book of Colossians.
Together we will seek to understand what it means to live lives of faithfulness upon Christ our Rock.
We shall be encouraged by His promises, to grow in spiritual maturity and live transformed lives that reflect the character of Christ.
When: Saturday 19th September from 10am to 3pm.
Cost: $25 (this includes morning tea, lunch and a booklet)

EMILY HASLER:
Emily is married to Garth, mum to two beautiful daughters, daughter of Robin who attends the morning service, and Matt, and first-time speaker at the Tides women's conference. During the week she works in the city as an accountant and at leisure times is likely to be seen with the family, on a walk or at the library.
Emily and Garth have been attending St John's since 2012 when they moved to Maroubra beach for a year…and never left!
Emily loves serving in various ministries at church, and is currently serving in music ministry as a worship leader, and on KAOS (Kids Activities on Sunday) as one of the teachers. Emily is looking forward to opening Colossians together, to hear what God says to us as women, about living as faithful stewards of our many gifts and roles, grounded in the freedom we have in Christ.
JO ALLEN:
Jo is a former member of St John’s, where she attended from 2007 to 2015, during that time she was a part of a bible study group, served alongside Sandy and Evelyn in Kid’s Club for a couple of years, and taught Special Religious Education (SRE) at Maroubra Junction Public School.
She is married to Mark, and together they attend Lighthouse Baptist Church in Phillip Bay, where she is about to begin teaching Sunday School.
For the past four and a half years, Jo has worked as the Enrollments and Administration Coordinator at St Nic’s Christian Preschool in Coogee. She loves serving the preschool community and building meaningful relationships with the children, their families, and her colleagues.
Like Emily, Jo is a first-time speaker at Tides Women’s Conference and is looking forward to sharing from God’s Word and encouraging the women at Tides.
MAYA CROSSFIELD:
Maya has attended St John's for 4 years, and has long been familiar with the community from coming to kids club as a child. She has served in youth, children's, women's and young adult ministries, and has loved contributing to the community of our church.
She currently works with the Older Women's Network, a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to advocate for the voices of older women on the issues of housing, health, age and gender discrimination.
She cares deeply about community and the mission of Christians to help others in times of struggle, and is a great believer in 'phone call' prayers to God while on the bus.
